Initially, the company specialized in arable crops combined, as is often the case in Tuscany, with the cult of the olive tree. As evidence of this passion, centuries-old trees and a traditional olive oil mill still stand today.
Over the years, the Zannoni family specialized in two sectors: viticulture and olive growing. Thus began the recovery and valorization of the area’s native vineyards: Sangiovese and Trebbiano.

The company’s winery was located in the 18th-century Palazzo Maruzzi. For many years, the winemaking process took place in this structure, which retained the typical Tuscan atmosphere and aromas. The concrete vats used for winemaking and the gigantic wooden barrels were located there.
In the 1980s, management of the company passed to the new generations, who began a journey aimed at quality.

In 2000, a modern cellar was built, designed to optimize operations and improve the quality of the finished product. The historic wooden barrels were replaced with barriques, and more modern equipment was added to the cellar.
The older vineyards, such as Sangiovese, were restructured but preserved, while the Trebbiano was replaced with Vermentino, and new plantings of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon were planted.
